Halloween events for Oakville kids fill the month of October! All month Oakville kids and families can look forward to fun and spooky activities. We have found lots of local Halloween themed parties, festivals, games and more to help make this year scary, fun and memorable for all. And if you are hosting your own party or want to share a spooky snack, we’ve got Halloween recipes that are pretty quick and easy to make.
Children, teens, and even parents, love getting dressed up and pretending to be be something silly, pretty, or scary! Even though Halloween falls on a Monday this year, there is lots of time to get out and enjoy the holiday.

Halloween Events In Oakville
Harvest Festival – All weekends in October up until October 30
Visit Springridge Farm from 10 am – 4 pm for autumn entertainment including wagon rides, a corn trail, giant sandbox, professional puppet show, spooky Boo Barn and the Fun Farm Yard. Admission is $12 per person (including HST) ages for 2-92.
Haunted Halloween House – Friday October 7 – Monday October 31
Get spooked at Solingate Manor! The ghoulish playground is made with children in mind, so nothing in the display will be too frightening. Come nightly in Ocotober from 7 pm to 10 pm. Guests are asked to bring a donation to support the Oakville Fareshare Food Bank.
Ghost Walks – October 13 – October 29
Walk around the oldest part Oakville and hear about some of the Town’s ghosts and haunted happenings. The hour walk is followed by refreshments. Cost is $12 per adult , $6 per child aged 12 or under, and free for infants.
Trek or Treat – Friday October 21
Visit St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre for The Trek or Treat Night Trail Run, with a Creepy Mile & 5K Run/Walk at 7pm. Bring your costume and come ready to party! Expect fabulous course displays, face painting, candy stations on the course, hot chocolate and a post-race pizza party. Participants are asked to bring a food donation for the Oakville Fareshare Food Bank.
Camper Halloween – October 14/15 & October 21/22
Trick or Treat around the Bronte Creek Campground, where ghosts and goblins will go from site to site instead of door to door. Call to reserve your own site to decorate. Don’t miss a guide walk where you’ll find creepy creatures and hear coyotes howl!
Halloween Spooktacular – Saturday October 22 & Saturday October 29
All ages are invited to explore haunted car barn and ride the creeky rails at the Halton Radial Railway. Then, enjoy some hot apple cider & scary snacks. You’re invited to wear your costume. Reservations not required. Tickets sold at the door. Last car ride departs Rockwood Station at 9:20pm.
Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens for a magical evening on the Pumpkin Trail! Hundreds of jack-o-lanterns will light your way while you enjoy live entertainment, face painting and pumpkin-themed activities. Walks begin every 10 minutes from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Adults cost $16 and children (aged 3-12) cost $9. Register online.
Spooktacular – October 8-10, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30
Visit Mountsberg Conservation Area from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm for lots of Spooktacular activities. The Barn has been transformed into a creepy place to play and explore! Visit the Pumpkin Discovery Hunt and Pumpkin Hay Play Area. Families will also love the face painting, pumpkin carving, bird & snake shows, and the beautiful trails. Don’t forget to wear your costume and receive a free hot drink! Regular admission fees apply.
Zombie Apocalypse – Friday November 4
It’s the Halloween archery event that you’ve been waiting for! On Friday November 4th, from 6:30pm – 9:30pm, come in and prove that your archery skills can keep the undead hordes at bay and protect a group of survivors. Your people are counting on you! Sign up on the bulletin board across from reception. You’ll need a team of 3 people, $60 team entrance fee, and for a bonus, bring some non-perishable food items for the Mississauga Food Bank.
Tiny Tots On Parade – Monday October 31
Calling all Trick-or-Treaters! Come on down to Downtown Oakville’s Towne Square and show us your best costume from 10am – 12pm! Then hit the town to gather fantastic treats (never tricks!) from our many merchants. They can’t wait to see you again this year! Enjoy the rest of your day with shopping, dining, and our many services.

Head to Downtown Oakville for a great Halloween march! The march leaves the square at 1pm.
Halloween Movie – Sunday October 30
Looking for something fun to do with the kids aged 6 to 12 on Halloween weekend? The Junior Optimist Club of Oakville is showing the Disney movie HalloweenTown at the Auditorium of the Oakville Central Library on Sunday, October 30th, 2:30 to 4:30.
